Lizzie was born on September 29, 1921, to August Sr. and Christine (Vilhauer) Renz. She attended country school and worked on the family farm.

Lizzie married Johnie Quenzer in Salinas, CA on February 20, 1944. Together, they had three children.

Lizzie was a cook at the Herreid High School, and the Herreid Hospital. She also did cleaning and painting for many years. She retired in 1990. Lizzie enjoyed her flower garden, puzzles and attending the Herreid Fitness Center three times a week.

Lizzie was a member and co-founder of Al-anon. A lifelong member of Herreid Baptist Church. A Legion Auxiliary member since 1961 and a Senior Citizen member for many years.

Lizzie is survived by her children, Bonnie Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD; Don (Sandy) Quenzer of Aberdeen, SD; and Cynthia (Steve) Lucht of Canton, SD;  four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; and her husband Johnie.
