He spent his entire life in Craig, Colorado, graduating from high school here in 2004. Loren was a diligent studenta genuine life-long learner. He nearly finished his Associates Degree at CNCC while still attending Moffat County High School. After graduation he studied at Regis University and was only one course away from completing his Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Law in 2007. He was an avid student of the Scriptures. Daily, he read devotionals on line and also worked Bible Studies in hardcopy. His questions and insights into Scripture reflected a strong and faithful mind always seeking to know: "what does this mean?" Loren was a member of the Debate Team at Moffat County H.S. and at Regis University. He loved to travel to visit his relatives, being very close to his cousins in Minnesota and North and South Dakota.Loren never left anyone in doubt concerning his favorite football teamthe Denver Broncos. Most Sundays Loren would come to Divine Service dressed in a suit and wearing a tie decorated with a Scripture theme. But in Sundays when the Broncos were playing he would appear with a tie featuring a great deal of orange and a horse's head.Loren's favorite food when dining out had to be pizza! If you wanted to catch him smiling from ear to ear you needed only to catch him at Gino's devouring a 'white pie' or at Pizza Hut working his way through a calzone.Loren has joined the angels, archangels, and all the company of heaven, along with his mother Lynn, his brother Clark, and his sister Aimee in the throne room of God. He leaves behind his father Jim, step-mother Gwenn, brother Benjamin (and sister-in-law April), his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers and sisters in Christ still traveling through this vale of tears. Today we grieve the loss of our dear son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend and we look forward with joyful anticipation to the resurrection when we will be reunited with Loren and our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Come, Lord Jesus. Amen.
