Lorrene Baumgartner was born on June 29, 1932, to Clement and Dessie (Lovell) Malone of Linton, North Dakota. She lived on a farm 16 miles east of Linton (St. Michael's area). After moving to Linton, Lorrene worked at The Linton Tailor Shop.
Lorrene married Alex Baumgartner on September 16, 1954. They farmed northeast of Linton, before moving to the outskirts of Linton, where Alex owned and operated Baumgartner and Son Drilling Company, and Lorrene was a homemaker.
Lorrene loved God, her family, her church, and enjoyed baking and cooking. She was always cooking for someone who was sick and taking care of others. She also cared for a number of children, while their parents were working.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti (Keith) Villani of Morrison(Manchester), Tennessee. Her grandchildren, Jessica Lee Dickerson and Danielle Alexis Dickerson, of Manchester, Tennessee; Samantha Joy Baumgartner and Jacob Fitzgerald Baumgartner, of Bismarck, North Dakota; one great-grandson, Bryson Dickerson, of Manchester, Tennessee; and brother-in-law, Tom Fischer, of St. Paul MN, sister-in-law, Irene Rohrich, of Linton, North Dakota, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Lorrene was preceded in death by her husband Alex Baumgartner, her son, Tucker Fitzgerald Baumgartner, her parents, her sisters, Marie Fischer and Beverly Goldade, and brother-in-law, Mike Goldade, sister-in-law, Virginia Kiemele, and brother-in-law, Albert Kiemele.
