Louise Ohlhauser, 96, formerly of Hazelton, ND, died October 18, 2010 at the Strasburg Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday, October 22, 2010 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hazelton with the Reverend Eugene Roecker officiating. Burial will be at 3:30pm Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00am to 9:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton. Louise was born November 19, 1913 at Mound City, SD, the daughter of Heinrich and Rosina (Schuler) Goehring. She attended country school. Louise married Herman Ohlhauser in Linton on August 3, 1933. Following their marriage, they moved to a farm 12 miles east of Hazelton. They lived on this farm for many years. Herman died on February 14, 1981. Louise continued to live on the farm until moving to Linton to the Prairie Rose Apartments in April of 2008. Louise entered the Strasburg Care Center in April of 2009. Louise was well known for her gardening and sharing her flowers and plants with others. She loved to make afghans and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by four children: Verda and Hadley Seeklander of Hazelton, ND, Darlene Snyder of Valley City, ND, Marvin Ohlhauser of Phoenix, AZ and Robert and Judy Ohlhauser of Bismarck, ND; fourteen grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; eighteen great great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Rueben and Mabel Goehring of Jamestown, ND and one step sister, Hilda (Ohlhauser) Burkhardt of Lodi, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, TJ Snyder; three sisters: Katie Backhaus, Rose Heer and Elizabeth Humann; and three brothers: Andrew Goehring, Edwin Goehring and Albert Goehring.
