Lucy Noel, 95, Strasburg, formerly of Linton, ND, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Strasburg Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, with Rev. Paul Eberle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 9 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before time of services on Saturday at the church. Lucy was born March 24, 1916 on a farm west of Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Kasper and Letitia (Braun) Bachmeir. She attended country school. Lucy married Matt Noel on November 22, 1938 in Linton, ND. They lived on Matt's parents farm until 1952 when they moved to a farm eight miles from Linton. They retired from farming and moved into Linton in 1980. Matt died on July 16, 1981. Lucy was a member of Catholic Daughters and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, canning and cooking. Lucy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Leo and Betty Noel of Napoleon, ND; one granddaughter: Betty Jean Freshour of St. Paul, MN two great grandchildren: Bud Jr. Freshour and Katie Freshour of St. Paul, MN; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bennie and Lois Bachmeir and Victor and Jean Bachmeir all of Coeur d'Alene, ID and two brothers-in-law: Henry Will of Hazelton, ND and Perry Masset of Strasburg, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1981, four sisters, Cecelia, Sophie, Regina and Berniece and three brothers, Kasper, Otto and John.
