Luella Klein, 71, Linton, ND, was called to be an angel in Heaven on Thursday, February 23, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton with Fr. Dave Zimmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.Luella was born in Emmons County on August 5, 1945, to Stanley and Helena (Bosch) Wald, and was raised on the family farm in Kintyre. She later attended school in Little Falls, MN and graduated from Annunciation Priory High School in Bismarck, ND. Luella married her soul mate, James "Jim" Klein on September 5, 1964 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Rural Napoleon and they were blessed with five children. Luella touched every heart she came into contact with, even during the darkest of days. With her love of cooking, the city of Linton enjoyed many of her delicious meals at the restaurants in town. Her favorite job was at Rosenbluth where she enjoyed going on many company adventures.Luella enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. While she was able, she crocheted an afghan for all her grandchildren. She also loved her animals and enjoyed the company of her dogs, cats, birds and fish. Her babies at home were her dogs, Poncho and Rusty, and her cat, Pepper. They always knew when she was not feeling well and cuddled with her through her pains.Luella is survived by her husband of 52 years, James; her mother, Helena Wald; three sons, Dwayne (Nikki), Dale (Trude), and Donnie (Tammy); two daughters, Denise Senger and Dorinda (Jerome) Rutschke; eleven grandchildren; one great grandson; her sister, Sr. Sienna; and three sisters-in-law, Margaret, LuElla, and Becky.Luella was preceded in death by her father, Stanley; and three brothers, Harvey, Mark and Isadore.
