Lyle Ohlhauser, 72, Strasburg, ND died August 24, 2022 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, ND.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home, Linton with Pastor Geary Dodd officiating.  Interment will be held in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Linton.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lyle was born February 25, 1950 in Linton the son of Edward and Lorraine (Beitelspacher) Ohlhauser.  He was raised and educated in Linton.  He moved to Oregon where he drove truck for Weyerhaeuser Lumber Company until retiring and moving back to North Dakota.

He enjoyed flying his ultralight and model airplanes and will always be remembered for his love of fishing and crabbing on the Oregon coast.  Lyle also enjoyed attending family gatherings.

Lyle is survived by his son, Rich (Jess) Bowlin of Monroe, OR; his grandchildren, Quentin and Peyton Bowlin; his brother, Leo Ohlhauser of Hazelton; his sisters, Loretta (Dennis) Mitzel of Herreid, SD, Lena Bayer of Bismarck, Lorna (Denny) Elkins of Scio, OR; sister-in-law: Deb Ohlhauser; half-brothers, Todd Ohlhauser and David Ohlhauser both of Bismarck; half-sister, Shirley Ohlhauser of Bismarck and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, Shannon and Trina; brothers, Leland and Ricky Ohlhauser; sister, LuAnn Ohlhauser and a nephew, Benjamin McCullom.
