Magdalena Bender, 97, formerly of Linton, ND died October 22, 2025 in the Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, ND.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Linton Cemetery with Pastor Sean Barnhart officiating.

Magdalena was born July 30, 1928 in Linton, ND the daughter of Jacob and Magdalena (Lindemann) Bender.  She attended country school and spent the last two years of grade school in Linton.  She resided on the family farm where she helped her mother with the cooking, cleaning and other housework.  Magdalena cared for her mother until her death in 1968.  She moved into Linton in 1971.  She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she enjoyed being a part of the ELCW and the Ladies Aid.  Magdalena truly enjoyed crocheting.  She had been a resident of the Strasburg Care Center since February of 2014.  Magdalena was the last living child of 16 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ben, Pete, Adolph, Fred, William, John, Emil, Emmanuel and Jacob; sisters, Emma, Hannah, Katherine, Amelia, Selma and Rosina.

Magdalena is survived by her nieces and nephews and many special friends who cared for her.  A special thank you goes to the Strasburg Care Center for the care they provided her the last 11 years.
