Obituary

Marcella Wangler, 86, formerly of Linton, ND, died August 31, 2022, in the Strasburg Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Linton with Fr. Mark Axtmann officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Linton. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022, from 5 to 7pm at the Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home, Linton. There will be a prayer service at 7pm. Visitation will continue for 1 hour before the services at the church.

Marcella was born on November 7, 1935, to Ben and Veronica (Feist) Dorscher of Strasburg, ND. She was raised in Strasburg and educated in Wishek & Linton. During her younger years, Marcella worked as a waitress. She married Wendelin IV "Wendy" Wangler on August 26, 1957 at Seeman Park in Linton. Following their marriage, they bought a house in Linton. They lived in this house their entire married lives.

Marcella was known around Linton as a painter. She was often found repainting a room or even a house for many local people. She also enjoyed refinishing furniture. She enjoyed baking and cooking such as homemade bread, buns, noodles and a community favorite, German potato sausage. She and Wendy played cards frequently and made trips to the river in their red van to camp. She loved to visit and spend time with her friends & family especially her grandsons & great granddaughters.

Marcella was a member of the Christian Mothers, the Linton Senior Citizens, and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She lived in Linton for most of her life. She entered the Strasburg Care Center in February of 2021 where she lived until her death.

Marcella is survived by her son Wendy Wangler Jr., daughter-in-law Shirley Goldade, grandsons Wendelin VI (Alexis) Wangler, Wayde (Sierra Kelsch) Wangler, and Warren Wangler all of Linton, great granddaughters Reese, Rayah, & Renna, and brother Ludwig "Luddy" Dorscher all of Linton as well as her Aunt Marcella Keller of Bismarck and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wendelin IV in 2014, and her Aunts Anna Mary Kraft and Carol Goetzch.
