Margaret was born February 13, 1917, near Strasburg, to Anton and Ottilia (Reis) Voller. She married Alois Baumgartner at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church on November 2, 1936. They farmed northeast of Strasburg until 1966, then moved into Strasburg. Alois died in 1968. Margaret continued to live in the home they had built until 2008. She has since resided at the Strasburg Care Center. Margaret was an excellent cook and baker. Her specialties were kuchen, fudge, and pigs-in-the-blanket. She even insisted on making these for her 90th birthday for all family to enjoy. She also liked to make quilts, crochet and embroider. Her handiwork was precise and beautiful. Grateful to have shared her life are two sons, Thomas (Mary Ann) Baumgartner, Bismarck, ND and Darrell (Cheryl) Baumgartner, Strasburg, ND, one daughter, Cecilia Van Beek, Strasburg, ND, and one son-in-law, Frank (Madonna) Bosch, Strasburg, ND, twelve grandchildren, Natalie Eberle, Debbie Weber, Frank Bosch, Jr., Denise (Rich) Smith, Janice (Dave) Vetter, Paul Baumgartner, Michelle and Jody Van Beek, Carrie Baumgartner, Alicia (Tony) Fladeland, Mark and Katie Baumgartner, and ten great grandchildren, Deann and Alissa Eberle, Kylie (Joel) Eberhart, John Brandon Weber, Tiffany and Dylan Smith, Chelsey, Adam and Adriel Vetter, and Margaret "Maggie" Baumgartner, two great-great grandchildren, Gracie and Harmony Eberhart, one sister, Helen, Loveland, CO, three brothers, Tony, William and Andy all of Mobridge, SD and brother in law, Eddie Hager, Timberlake, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alois, her parents, one daughter, Eileen, one grandchild, Ben Alois Baumgartner, two sisters, Bertha and Hilda and two brothers, Artie and Joe. The family thanks the Strasburg Care Center personnel for the care and special attention given to Margaret.
