Maria "Mary" Johnson, 93, passed away Sunday, December 30th, 2018, at Mobridge Regional Hospital, Mobridge, SD.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, Friday, January 4th, 2018, at Pollock Lutheran Church, Pollock, SD.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 5th, 2018, at Pollock Lutheran Church, Pollock, SD.

Burial will be at the Spring Creek Cemetery, east of Pollock.

Maria Johnson was born February 6, 1925, in Loibach, Austria to Rudolf and Maria (Modrai) Gorjup. She lived in Austria until 1951, when she moved to the United States of America. She lived in Oconto Falls, WI, where she worked in various cleaning jobs. She worked at Scotts Paper as a part-time fill in, until she received a full-time job at Northern Shoe Factory in Pulaski, WI.

She married Myron Johnson, of Pollock, SD, on May 8th, 1961, at Grace Lutheran Church on Oconto Falls, WI, after which, she moved back to Pollock with Myron, where she lived ever since. She loved her garden and flowers, she shared her produce with her friends and neighbors. She was a proud member of the Pollock Lutheran Church, Ladies Circle, Women of Elca, and Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Herta and Bill Urbaniak of Marinette, WI; three grandsons, Scott Urbaniak of Portfield, WI, Mark (Donna) Urbaniak of Menominee, MI, and James (Lisa) Urbaniak of Greenville, WI; Great-grandchildren, Kevin Urbaniak of Two Rivers, WI, Samantha (Cody) Harris of Marinette, WI, Taylor of Redgranite, WI, and Brian Urbaniak of Neenah, WI; Step-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth of Philadelphia, PA and Alexander, Nicholas and Allison of Greenville, WI; and her great-great-grandchildren, Harper and Harmony Harris of Marinette, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant sister; and her brother and sister.
