Marianna was born on a farm near Odessa, ND on February 4, 1922, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Holzer) Buechler. She was raised in Odessa. Marianna attended country school. She married Aloysius JP Zacher at St. Aloysius Catholic Church near Hague on October 30, 1944. Following their marriage, they moved to a farm near Strasburg. They later moved into Strasburg where she was a housewife. Aloysius died on March 23, 2006. Marianna was a member of St. Mary's Society. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, sewing and puzzle books. Marianna enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She entered the Strasburg Care Center in December of 2009 where she lived until her death on Saturday, December 18, 2010. Marianna is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law: Richard and Brenda Zacher of Lincoln, ND, Charles Zacher and Kenneth Zacher, both of Strasburg, ND and Herman and Brenda Zacher of Lincoln, ND; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Lucy and Don DuFrame of Mandan, ND, Clara and Rudy Hubin of Centennial, CO, Sally Zacher of Strasburg, ND and Viola Bullert of Mandan, ND; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Fred Buechler of Strasburg, ND, John and Alice Buechler of Minot, ND, and Al and Janice Buechler of Iowa; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Elizabeth Scherr of Strasburg, ND and Anne and Tom Santos of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aloysius, one son, Peter, one grandson, John Brian DuFrame, four brothers, Carl, Martin, Karl and Leo and one sister, Clara.
