Marie A. Wald, 64, of Bismarck, ND, died February 22, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones with open arms of our lord at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.  Private family services will be held.

Marie was born August 31st, 1961, to Bernard "Benny" and Agnes (Geffre) Wald in Linton, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm where she attended and graduated from Linton High School, she moved to Bismarck and worked in housekeeping and started a home daycare once she had her son, Eric, and a few short years later had a daughter, Alvina. She was a very caring mom, grandma, daughter, sister and friend. Marie put her children and grandchildren above all else. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, attending church, going on outings and taking walks.

She is survived by her children, Eric Wald and Alvina Wald (Aaron Ponzer); three grandchildren Ryder, Alaiya and Alayna Ponzer; mother Agnes Wald; four sisters and two brothers: Viola (Tony) Kuntz, Bernice Schumacher, Diane Wald, Ben (Jackie) Wald, Linda (Roger) Salwei, and Kenny (Cyndi) Wald; nieces and nephews, Jason (Tiffi) Kuntz, Jesse Kuntz, Jeremy (Tiffany) Kuntz, Vanessa (Erin) Magrum, Jessica (Cole Moch) Salwei, Tiffney Salwei, Robin (Jared) Raile, Tobie (Jamie) Wald, Emily (Nathan) Anderson, Brandon, Austin, Kaitlyn, Jaxon and Peyton Wald; and many great nieces and nephews.

Marie is preceded in death by her father, Bernard "Benny" Wald; Nephew, Francis Schumacher; Adopted Brother: Lenny Feist, aunts and uncles.
