Marie Weber, 67, of Strasburg, ND, died at Sanford Hospital, Fargo on December 7, 2023 of complications due to a viral infection. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Visitation will be held one hour prior the the service. Burial will be held at St. Aloysius Cemetery, rural Hague, ND. A livestream of Marie's service will be available on the funeral home website.
Marie was born December 20, 1955 to Leo and Mary (Mitzel) Weber at the Linton Hospital. She was the second youngest of eight children and grew up on the family farm northeast of Hague. She attended a rural grade school. Marie graduated from Emmons Central High School, Strasburg, ND in 1974. Following graduation Marie joined the Army National Guard and served for 20 plus years. When stationed abroad she had the opportunity to travel to several countries. She especially valued her trip to Lourdes.
Her hobbies included reading, shopping at thrift stores, traveling, watching old movies, and visiting.
Marie was very generous with her time, talents and gifts. These she shared with her family and friends. Marie did not tolerate people who treated others poorly or belittled them. She supported the underdog in any way she could. She will be missed by those she loved and those who loved and cared for her.
She is survived by three sisters and four brothers: Lorraine Weber, Linton, Sister Barbara Weber O.S.B., Annunciation Monastery, Bismarck, Leo and Sara Weber, Kingston, GA, Phyllis and Ron Bauman, Strasburg, Louis and Mary Weber, Strasburg and Florence, AZ, Joe and Nancy Weber, Bismarck, and John Weber, Linton; and also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Weber, grandparents and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to the Annunciation Monastery 7520 University Dr. Bismarck, ND 58504 or the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
May she rest in the arms of her loving God.
