The funeral for Mark Grinsteiner, 86, of Linton, ND will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Linton, with Rev. David Richter officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Mark died July 9, 2009 at a Mobridge, SD Care Center. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 9:00pm Monday at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 7:30pm Monday. Mark was born on April 22, 1925 in Strasburg, ND the son of Wendelin and Armelia (Keller) Grinsteiner. He attended country school. Mark married Mary Schneider on October 3, 1946 at St. Aloysious Catholic Church. Following their marriage, they farmed with Marks parents until 1948. Mark and Mary moved to a farm in the St. Aloysious area where he farmed. He also drove the school bus for 17 years for the Strasburg/Hague and Linton Schools. They moved to Linton in 1979. He mowed lawns in the area for a number of years. Mark was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Linton and St. Anthonys Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on cars and playing cards. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mark died July 9, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge, SD. He is survived by his wife, Mary Grinsteiner of Linton, ND; three sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Carol Grinsteiner of Missoula, MT, Clinton and Peggy Grinsteiner of Mustang, OK and Donn and Evelyn Grinsteiner of Bismarck, ND; two daughters and sons-in-law: Viola and Gene Krein of Kansas City, Mo and Sylvia and Jerry Erdmann of Fargo, ND; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene Grinsteiner of Bismarck, ND; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Rose Schacht of Eugene OR, Helen and John Migilike of Lincoln, ND and Florence and Joe Hauer of Bismarck, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Carol in infancy; a grand daughter, Lisa and a brother, Joe.
