Mark James Schreiner, 68, Strasburg, North Dakota was call to heaven on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the Linton Regional Medical Center.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 20, 2026 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg with Father Shannon Lucht officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. A rosary/vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.

Mark was born in Linton, ND on May 10, 1957, to Robert W. and Regina (Schumacher) Schreiner. He attended and graduated from St. Benedict's Catholic School, Strasburg, in 1975. He played basketball and football in high school. He also played baseball in the summer and enjoyed golf. After graduation he attended NDSU for 1 year. He returned to Strasburg where he was the rural mail carrier and worked at the family business, Schreiner's Furniture and Appliances with his parents. In 1987 he took over ownership of the business. His parents were semiretired at that time but helped Mark in the store as needed.

Through his first marriage he was blessed with a son, Weston James born June 13, 1989, in Linton. He was so proud to become a dad. Through the years they enjoyed guitars, cars, music, video games and movies. Mark met his soulmate, Wanda Lee (Dissette) Lovik in 2009. Wanda moved to Strasburg in 2010 and worked alongside Mark at the store. They were married on May 19, 2020, in Linton. When you think of a mom-and-pop shop that was us. His family grew with the addition of Wanda's children, Emily and Matthew and their families. We were a family with five children and four grandchildren, whom we loved very much.

Mark was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a former member of Strasburg Volunteer Fire Dept.

His true passion in life was to hit the open road on his Harley motorcycle. He rode thousands of miles from Virginia to Oregon and North Dakota to the Gulf of America and every state in between. His wife, found out at the beginning of their relationship that if the weather was nice, we rode the motorcycle. He and Wanda Lee enjoyed many miles together going to visit family and attended events.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Michelle Schreiner, his son, Weston James, Wanda's parents, LeRoy and Ann (Thingvold) Dissette, sisters-in-law, Michelle Dissette and Linda Beaver, brothers-in-law, Bruce Dissette, Joe Wise and Allan Beaver.

Survivors are his wife, Wanda Lee, stepchildren, Emily (Brad) Slade, Spokane, WA and Matt (Crystal) Lovik, Wahpeton, ND, his precious grandchildren that meant the world to him, Katie Slade, Moscow, ID, Benjamin Slade, Ottawa, KS and Cohen and Lola Lovik, Wahpeton, ND, sister Robyn Neal, Jacksonville, FL, sisters-in-law, Ida Dissette, Plymouth, MN, Sharon Wise, Crosby, TX, Diane Dissette, Minnetonka, MN, Renea (Dennis) Fleckenstein, Bismarck, ND, brothers-in-law, Curt (Laura) Dissette, Willow City, ND, Arlo Dissette and Barry Chait, both from Boca Raton. Mark had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
