Martina Bauman, 86, of Strasburg, ND, formerly of Linton ND, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Linton Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church on Thursday.  Burial will be at St. Antony's Catholic Cemetery.

Martina was born on December 15, 1931 to Ignatz and Mary (Burckhardt) Bosch. She lived with her parents on a farm east of Linton until the age of 7. When her father passed away, the family moved to Linton. She graduated from Linton Public School in 1950.  Four years later, on August 10, 1954, she was united in marriage to Bernard (Bennie) S. Bauman at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton. Martina helped Bennie on the farm south of Linton, and also was employed at the Model Bakery, Jack & Jill Grocery Store, and Hulm's Food Center. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. Her Faith was important to her.

Martina's hobbies included playing cards, gardening and most of all, getting together with family and friends to play Bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  The family always enjoyed her home cooked meals and playing cards.

Martina is survived by her three daughters, Sharon (Terry) Streitz of Casper, WY, Laura (Virgil) Hulm of Linton, ND, and Linda (Mike) Appert of Hazelton, ND; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Bauman of Clackamas, OR; brother-in-law Iggie (Ida) Bauman of Portland, OR; sister-in-law, Loretta (Sebald) Nagel of Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignatz and Mary, her husband, Bennie, three brothers, Val Bosch, Francis Bosch and Fr. Henry Bosch, a twin sister, Monica Peerboom, her son, Donnie, son-in-law, Steven Appert and her great grand-daughter, Baby Claire Appert.
