Obituary

Mary Frances Elizabet Theisgen, 98, of Strasburg, left this world on February 9, 2023, while holding the hand of her Granddaughter Amanda. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 11:30 AM at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Burial will be held at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Strasburg. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 6-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Sannes Feist Funeral Home.

Mary Frances Elizabet Kieffer was born on June 26, 1924, to Benoît and Frieda ( Schlecht )Kieffer in Strasbourg, France.

Mary Frances married Robert Theisgen on March 20, 1948. Together they raised three sons. Making the difficult decision for their family to immigrate to the United States, Mary Frances and her family emigrated to Southern California on June 3, 1965. After the passing of her husband Robert in 1996, Mary Frances would eventually make one more big move in her life to Strasburg, North Dakota in 2004.

Mary Frances held a deep love of all animals big and small. She supported The Humane Society in efforts to help animals everywhere. Mary Frances had many hobbies some of which include embroidery, coloring, crossword puzzles, crocheting, gardening and reading many different types of books in both French and English.

Mary Frances leaves behind her sons André Theisgen (Barb King), Strasburg, North Dakota, Michel Theisgen, Clarksville, Tennessee. Grandsons Christopher Theisgen, Nevada and Jeremy Theisgen, Clarksville, Tennessee. Granddaughters Jessika Johnson, West Hills, California and Amanda Baumgartner (Bill Ayshford) Strasburg, North Dakota. Many Great Grandchildren and Great Great grandchildren.

Mary Frances was preceded in death by her Loving Parents Benoît and Frieda, Husband Robert Theisgen, Son Claude Theisgen, Grandson in-law Allan Baumgartner, great Grandson Cody Theisgen, many other family members and all of her pets including her beloved Dog Rocky.
