Mike J. Goldade, 73, Strasburg, ND, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND, with Rev. Jason Signalness officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, at the church where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Mike was born August 11, 1941 in Hague, ND, the son of Joe and Magdelena (Zacher) Goldade. He graduated from Strasburg High School in 1960. Mike married Beverly Malone on August 19, 1963 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND. Mike worked as a Diesel Mechanic (Case) and was employed at P & C Motors in Strasburg, from 1962 until 1982, Haas International in Linton and Bismarck from 1982 until 1986, Linton Tire Center (Willie Braun) from 1987 until 1988 and Titan Machinery from 1988 until 2003, when he retired.Mike enjoyed working in the garage doing small engine repair, reading, watching Nascar, and playing accordion with the Nifty Three Band as well as at home. When Mike was no longer able to do yardwork himself, he enjoyed supervising Alex and Brooke while they did the yardwork.Mike is survived by his wife, Beverly, Strasburg, ND, one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Linda Goldade, Ames, IA and one daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Mark Scherr, Strasburg, ND, two grandchildren, Brooke and Alex Scherr, Strasburg, one step granddaughter, Heather Swanson, Ogden, IA and three step great-grandchildren, Austin, Dawson and Hunter Swanson, Ogden, IA, three brothers and one sister-in-law, John and Sharon Goldade, Wyoming, MN, Daniel Goldade, Mandan, ND and James Goldade, Seeley Lake, MT, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Loretta and David Duma, Bismarck, ND, Sharon Goldade, Bismarck, ND and Tammy and Lowell Bueligen, Otsego, MN, as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alvin Goldade, brother-in-law, Alex Baumgartner, sister-in-law, Marie Fischer, nephew, Tucker Baumgartner, his grandparents, Maryanne and John Zacher and Anna and Ferdinand Goldade, and his father and mother-in-law, Dessie and Clement Malone.
