Oliva was born in Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Romanus and Celestina (Wagner) Ternes. She attended rural school in the Krassna area. Olivia married Jacob "Jakie" Jangula on November 29, 1951 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Krassna, ND. They farmed west of Linton until moving into Linton in 1998. Olivia was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She enjoyed farm life, country western music and had a great love for her family. "Jakie" died December 18, 2000. Olivia is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: David and Suzann Jangula of Linton, ND, Dan and Lily Jangula of Hazen, ND and Jerome Jangula of Bismarck, ND; three daughters and one son-in-law: Antonia Reed of Aberdeen, SD, Theresia Jangula of Sioux Falls, SD and Jacqueline and Kehsav Kathikar of Aberdeen, SD; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Eddie and Lois Ternes of Newhall, Iowa, Isadore and Myrna Ternes of Minneapolis, MN and Tony and Mary Ternes of Minneapolis, MN; one sister and brother-in-law: Anastasia "Tessie" and Neil Krumm of Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jakie, one son, Gerard, six brothers, Ben, Bob, Raymond, Auggie, Oswald, and Aloys, and three sisters, Sybella, Cecilia and Rose.
