Obituary

Otillia "Tillie" Schumacher, 86, formerly of Linton, ND, died Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Strasburg Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton. Burial will be in the spring in the church cemetery. Tillie was born on November 26, 1924, near Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Fischer) Deichert. She grew up on a farm southwest of Strasburg, and attended rural school. Tillie married Marcus Horner on December 22, 1942. Together they lived and farmed east of Linton. Following her husband's death in August of 1977, she moved to Linton. Tillie married Sebastian Schumacher in February of 1982. Sebastian died in 1986. Tillie continued living in Linton until moving to the Strasburg Care Center in September of 2006. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Tillie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and Jerome Bosch of Linton, and Carla and Garry Johanson of Fargo; five grandchildren: Kim (Daryl) Schell, Dave (Gwyn) Bosch, Joe (Nicole) Bosch, Adam Braaten and Rachel Braaten; five great-grandchildren: Katelyn Schell, Sarah Schell, Alyson Bosch, Shane Bosch and Tyler Bosch; three step-sons: Herman, Harry and Russ Schumacher and four step-daughters: Rosie Schumacher, Brenda Olsen, Geri Weiss and Ardy Biel; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Eva and Len Wall of Tappen, ND and Fran Weixel of Bismarck, ND; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Katie Deichert, and Ray and Myrt Deichert all of Billings, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brother Joe, her brother-in-law, Leo Weixel and step-son, Ron Schumacher.
