Patricia Ann Huber, of Linton, passed away on February 28th, 2025, at the Baptist Health Care Center in Bismarck, North Dakota, at the age of 79. Memorial services to celebrate Pat's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Linton, North Dakota, with Pastor Cook officiating. Burial will take place at the Hazelton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Pat was born November 22nd, 1945, in Carrington, North Dakota, to Maude (Dunbar) and Werner Lutz. She was the youngest child born into a family of three boys and two girls. Pat grew up on the family farm near Glenfield, North Dakota. She contributes her strong work ethic and deep appreciation for nature to lessons learned while growing up on the farm. Pat learned valuable skills such as gardening, animal care, and machinery operation from the long hours spent working side by side with her siblings.

Pat graduated from Glenfield High School in 1964. She received her teaching degree from Valley City State University in 1967 and later obtained her Master of Education from the University of North Dakota. Pat believed a good education could change anyone and a good teacher could change everything. She spent her life as an elementary educator. Beginning her teaching career in Grafton, North Dakota, and finishing her career in Linton, North Dakota. Pat retired after teaching at Linton Public School for twenty-three years. At that time, she was grateful for the opportunity to volunteer in the kindergarten room several days a week.

Pat's first marriage to Larry Pohanka in 1967 blessed the couple with two daughters, Lori and Kathryn. Pat loved motherhood and raising her girls. She often mentioned how she enjoyed watching her children and later her grandchildren grow and learn. Witnessing their milestones, achievements, and personal growth filled her with pride and joy. Her second marriage to Kenneth Huber in 1978 brought her to Linton, North Dakota. Once again, finding herself living in the country, filling her soul with nature. She loved to hike the buttes behind the house for hours and enjoyed planting and tending to a large garden each summer while on school break.

In the fall of 1990, she met the love of her life, Donald Jahner. The couple worked together to operate Don's Motel in Linton, North Dakota. They complimented each other perfectly and spent thirty-four wonderful years together. You could often find them enjoying popsicles on the front steps or inviting friends or strangers alike into their kitchen to share a cup of coffee. Pat and Don shared a great love of animals. Over the years they adopted many four-legged furry friends into their hearts and home.

Pat will be missed greatly by those she leaves behind, daughter, Kathryn (Terry) Holzer, of Linton, North Dakota, son-in-law, Kelly Kalama, Temple, Texas. Her grandchildren: Lukas (Jennifer) Holzer, Morgan (Rylan) Jacob, Payton (Landon Schneider) Holzer, Gracyn Holzer, Rafe Kalama and Gabriel Kalama; great-grandchildren Harper and Paisley Holzer, Jettsen Jacob, Hudson Schneider, sister, Sandra (John) Hendrickson, sisters-in-law: Shelva Lutz, Lona Lutz, brothers-in-law, Robert Jahner, Kenny (Evelyn) Jahner, Wes (Judy) Jahner, Wayne Jahner, Harvey (Nancy) Jahner.

Welcoming Pat into her eternal life are her daughter Lori Pohanka-Kalama, infant great-grandson Holden Terry Schneider, Parents, Maude and Werner Lutz, husband, Kenneth Huber, love of her life, Donald Jahner, brothers: Gary Lutz, Lowell Lutz, and Doug Lutz, brothers-in-law: Jim (James) Jahner, Larry Jahner, Leroy Jahner, Melvin Jahner, and sisters-in-law, Rosetta, Karen, Hilda and Darlene.
