Paul Peter Richter passed away peacefully at the Linton Hospital following a valiant fight with cancer at the age of 63 on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND, with Rev. Dave Zimmer officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church and a Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Paul was born on December 29, 1956, in Linton to Luella and Leo Richter. He grew up on a farm located west of Linton and graduated from Linton Public School. Paul worked for farmers, various construction jobs, and the city of Linton.

Paul is survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister: Tom (Sandy) Richter, Dave (Sue) Richter, Jim (Jeanie) Richter, Jon (Jaime) Richter, and Mary Spencer. Proud Uncle of Wayne (Robin) Richter, Chuck Richter, Jason (Lacey) Richter, Michael Richter, Brittney (Tommy) Schmidt, Leslie (Colton) Kassmier, Kelly (Mike) Gilbert, Amanda Spencer, Matthew Spencer, JayCee Richter, Riley Richter, Gentry Richter, and Brody Richter and Great-Uncle of Tyler Richter, Taylor Richter, Megan Richter, Jada Richter, Isla Richter, Evie Richter, Kayden Kassmier, Jaxon Jassmier, Riley Gilbert and Weston James Gilbert.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Luella and father, Leo, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

Paul's faith in the Catholic Church was very important to him in life and he was a strong and caring guy.  The way he battled cancer was an inspiration to his family and friends.

Paul was an avid fisherman and trapper.  He loved to visit with family and friends. He will be missed deeply.
