Obituary

Paul Senger, 76, of Strasburg, ND, passed away on February 9th, 2024, at the Edgewood Care Facility in Bismarck, ND surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul catholic Church, Strasburg. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service. Burial will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Paul Frank Senger was born on June 9th, 1947, to Paul and Margaret (Baumgartner) Senger. He was raised on the family farm 12 miles east of Strasburg. Paul attended and graduated from St. Benedict's Highschool in 1965. Shortly after graduation, Paul was drafted into the Army, proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War.

When Paul returned home, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Beth (Borr), also from Strasburg, and moved to Milwaukee, WI where he worked for Briggs and Stratton. During that time, they had two sons, Paul Anthony (Bismarck, ND) and Dion Ernie (Ravensdale, WA). Paul and his family returned to North Dakota where he worked in the Powerlines as a lineman and worked in the oil fields as a driller. During that time Paul and Mary Beth had two more sons, Daniel Joe (Mandan, ND) and Jonathon James (Kelso, WA).

Paul pulled up stakes in 1983 and relocated to Seattle, WA with Dion and Dan, where he briefly worked as a forklift operator before he started his career with The Boeing Company. He proudly worked at Boeing for 30 years and retired in 2014. Paul retuned to Bismarck in 2021 where he resided at the Edgewood Care Facility.

Paul was well known for picking up his guitar and playing an old-time country tune. He thoroughly enjoyed working in his yard, growing vegetables and beautiful flowers. He loved keeping to his German roots cooking in the kitchen in which his homemade sausage which was legendary amongst friends and co-workers. Paul loved his dogs, Jake, and Ben, as they were never far from his side. He always had time to speak and hangout with his brothers and sisters. Amongst all, Paul loved his four boys, and was very proud of each one of them.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret, and brother Irvin Senger.

Paul leaves behind four sons, Paul (Dawn) Senger of Bismarck, Dion (Valerie) Senger of Ravensdale, WA, Dan (Nikki) Senger of Mandan, and Jon Senger of Kelso, WA. Six grandchildren Kala/Sheldon Senger, Rylie/Delaney Senger, and Everlee/Rian Senger. Three great grandchildren Leah/Caroline/and Jaxxon. One brother, Chuck (Elsie) Senger of Mesa, AZ and two sisters, Elaine Klein of Forth Worth, TX, and Gladys Senger of Seattle, WA and one sister-in-law, Helen Senger, of Strasburg.
