Paulina M. Jangula, 89, formerly of Zeeland, ND, left this earth peacefully on July 6th, 2023 at St. Catherine's South, Fargo. Paulina was born on May 19th, 1934 in Hague, ND, the daughter of Wendelin and Christina (Baumgartner) Schumacher. She grew up on the family farm.
Paulina married Joe R. Jangula on October 19, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague. They resided in Zeeland where they helped run the family farm. They later bought a cream station in Zeeland that they ran until the early 1970's. They continued to live and farm on the family farm where they raised their family. They retired in 2008 and moved to Linton. Joe died in May of 2016, Paulina continued to live in Linton until 2021 when she moved to Fargo and resided at Maple View. She was currently a resident at St. Catherine's until her passing.
Paulina had many talents. She was an avid gardener and a very talented seamstress. Paulina's green thumb could sprout a root into a thriving plant. According to her family, she baked the best buns and made the best chicken noodle soup. Stacey is still trying to master the soup. She also enjoyed sewing, canning, playing cards and visiting with her friends and family.
Paulina was a member of the Linton Senior Citizens, the St. Andrew's Altar Society and St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and her puppy Josie. Josie became her best friend after Joe passed away. When the dementia had claimed her mind, Josie was the one thing she always remembered.
