Obituary

Perry Masset, 99, Linton, ND, died Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Strasburg Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND With Rev. David Richter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the church for one hour before services.Perry was born in Emmons County on April 17, 1914, the daughter of Casper and Letitia (Braun) Bachmeier. She attended country school. Perry married Anton Masset on October 15, 1935 at St. Bernard's Church, Rural Linton, ND. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm until retiring. They moved to town in 1973 and she worked a few years in the school kitchen, loving every minute of it. She moved into the Strasburg Care Center in April of 2011.Perry was part of Catholic Daughters for many years. She loved to cook for and feed people, especially wedding kuchen. She enjoyed having coffee and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Perry is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Wilfred and Veronica Masset of LaMoure, ND and Albert and Kathy Masset of Linton, ND, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Jean Bachmeier of Idaho, brother-in-law, Henry Will of Hazelton, ND and sister-in-law, Lois Bachmeier of Idaho.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Anton, four brothers, Ben, Casper, Otto and John, and five sisters, Sophie, Bernice, Lucy, Regina and Mary.
