Phyllis was born October 17, 1928, in Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Frank and Rosina (Ternes) Haag. She was raised and educated in Strasburg. Phyllis married Peter Glatt at St. Marys Catholic Church in Hague on September 23, 1947. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed near Hague, ND. They retired from farming in 1987 and moved into Strasburg. She had been a resident of the Strasburg Care Center for the last 2 years. Phyllis served on the Emmons County Social Services Board and the FHA Board. She was a member of the Hague Homemakers Society, the Hague St. Marys Alter Society, and the Strasburg St. Marys Society. Phyllis enjoyed bowling, horseback riding, snowmobiling, reading, dancing, watching tv and traveling. Phyllis died January 4, 2011 at the Linton Hospital. She is survived by her husband Peter Glatt of Strasburg, ND; one son and daughter-in-law: Perry and Jeannie Glatt of Bismarck, ND; two daughters and sons-in-law: Pearl and Robert Kiefer of Bismarck, ND and Pam and Leo Meier of Hague, ND; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Haag of Bismarck, ND and four sisters and brothers-in-law: Florence Dillmann of Bismarck, ND, Cecilia Mueller of Bismarck, ND, Bernie and Larry Welk of Aberdeen, SD and Johanna and Ray Schaefbauer of Gilbert, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
