Pius Hager, 93, Littleton, CO, formerly Braddock, ND, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, Littleton, CO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Katherine's Catholic Church, Braddock with Rev. David Zimmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, and continue from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church where there will be a prayer service at 6 p.m.Pius was born December 12, 1923 in Strasburg, ND, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Baumgartner) Hager. He grew up on a farm near Strasburg and attended country school Pius married Theresa Bichler on June 7, 1943 in Strasburg. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed west of Linton, ND. Later they moved to a farm north of Braddock, where they farmed and raised their family until moving into town in 1981. Pius was a member of Knights of Columbus, the Braddock Lions Club and South Central Thresher's Association. He enjoyed singing in the church choir.Pius is survived by six sons and five daughters-in-law, Terry and Geraldine Hager, Omaha, NE, Richard Hager, Denver, CO, Donnie and Diane Hager, Braddock, Ken and Debbie Hager, Littleton, CO, Ronnie, Hager, Littleton, CO, Garry and Kristi Hager, Littleton, CO and daughter-in-law, Antoinette; twenty four grandchildren; forty eight great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Bachmeier, Irene Heidrich and Carol Herner and two brothers, Eddie and Joe Hager.Pius was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa; son Pius, Jr.; grandson, Corey Hager; and siblings, Julia Feist, Katie Weld, Mary Zacher, Barbara Silvernagel, Andrew Hager and Alice Heidrich.
