The funeral for Pius Hager, Jr., 66, Braddock, ND, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at St. Katherine's Church, Braddock, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home and will continue from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the church in Braddock, where there will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Pius was born on December 24, 1945 in Linton, the son of Pius Sr. and Theresa (Bichler) Hager. He attended country school and graduated from the Braddock High School in 1963. Pius lived in Milwaukee, WI for a short time and returned and purchased the Kintyre Bar. He married Antoinette "Toni" Mathern in Edgeley, ND on January 4, 1969. They lived and farmed north of Braddock. Pius auctioneered, owned and operated Hager's Bar and Hager's Drywall in Braddock, ND. He was a hunters safety instructor and a janitor at the Braddock School. He was a member of South Central Threshing Association, Inc. of Braddock, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Club in Bismarck. Pius enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, golfing, feeding cattle, watching movies, gardening, cooking and listening to Polka music. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette "Toni" Hager, Braddock, ND; one son and daughter-in-law: Shannon and Jackie Hager, Steele, ND; three daughters and sons-in-law: Sherri and Kent Madcke, Edgeley, ND, Sharma Clemens, Jamestown, ND and Michell and Keith Pfaff, Steele, ND; seventeen grandchildren: Jonathon (Erin) Madcke, Dawson, ND, Lucas, Mason, Dilan, Jocelynn and Dalton Madcke all of Edgeley, ND, Connor Clemens, Jamestown, ND, Ethan, Parker, Simon Hager all of Steele, ND, Blake, Grant, Breanah, Gracelin Pfaff all of Steele, ND and one great granddaughter, Britta Madcke of Dawson, ND, his father, Pius Hager, Sr. of Braddock, ND, six brothers and four sisters-in-law: Terry and Geraldine Hager of Omaha, NE, Richard Hager of Denver, CO, Donnie and Diane Hager of Braddock, ND, Ken and Debbie Hager of Littleton, CO, Ron Hager of Littleton, CO and Garry and Kristi Hager of Conifer, CO, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pius was preceded in death by his mother on August 16, 2011 and one nephew, Corey Hager.****************
