Obituary

Ramona Huber, 90, of Bismarck, formerly of Linton, ND passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, with her children by her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at First Baptist Church, Linton with Pastor Rich Cook officiating. Interment will be held in Linton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

Ramona was born on September 5, 1935, to Reinhold and Emilia (Walker) Klaudt. She was raised on the family farm west of Linton and attended school in Linton. On March 6, 1954, Ramona was united in marriage to LeRoy Huber. Together they made their home on the family farm near Hazelton, where they raised seven children while farming and raising cattle.

Ramona was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker whose hardworking spirit was evident in everything she did. She took great pride in her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, and raising chickens. Her home was always filled with the aroma of homemade meals, and her pies were second to none. She loved gathering family and friends around the table, where no one ever left hungry. In 1988, Ramona and LeRoy moved to Linton. She enjoyed working at the local bakery and caring for elderly members of the community. She became well known for her delicious German cooking, especially her kuchen, pies, kraut strudel, pigs in the blanket, and many other family favorites. Her love of flowers continued, as did her gift for hospitality. There was always coffee on, homemade treats to share, and a warm welcome for anyone who stopped by. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Later in life, as her health needs changed, Ramona moved to Bismarck, where she was blessed by the compassionate care she received from the staff at St. Gabriel's Community. Her family is deeply grateful for the kindness, friendship, and care shown to her throughout her time there.

Grateful to have shared her life are her daughters, Carmen Leno (Tom), Lori Huber, Robin Slusser, Nicole Jacob (Gerald), and Heather Huber (Dan); her son, Dustin Huber (Heidi); eight grandchildren, Mitchell (Lori), Hunter, Bridger, Miranda (Tyson), Taryn (Logan), Tanner, Riley (Shayla), and Colton (Megan); and eight great-grandchildren, Stella, Anderson, Paitynn, Quinn, Briggs, Banks, Jetta, and Daymian.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeRoy, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage; her son Ryan; her parents, Reinhold and Emilia Klaudt; and her siblings, Nyla, Carol, Gordon, and Rhine.

Ramona will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her generous heart, her incredible cooking, and the welcoming home she created for everyone who entered. Her legacy of faith, hard work, hospitality, and love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
