Randy R. Hulm, 47, of Wyndmere, ND, died June 29, 2013 in a Fargo Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Friday, July 5, 2013 at Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND with Fr. Len Loegering, Fr. Jason Signalness and Fr. David Richter officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Linton. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Myers Funeral Home, Linton and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the church in Strasburg. There will be a prayer service at 7:00pm. Randy was born on February 3, 1966 in Linton, ND, the son of Ray and Rose (Gefroh) Hulm. He was raised and educated in Linton. He graduated from Linton High School in 1984. While in High school Randy became a member of the North Dakota National Guard. Following high school Randy attended NDSCS for 2 years, obtaining an Associates Degree in Machine Tooling. He worked in Hague, ND at the Elevator and later became the manager of the elevator. He moved to Browns Valley, MN where he managed the elevator. Randy married Melissa Scherr at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND on September 15, 1990. They continued to live in Browns Valley. Randy was called to active duty in Operation Desert Storm. When Randy came home, they moved to Wyndmere, ND. Their first daughter, Nicole Amber Hulm was born in November of 1991. In March of 1994, their middle child, Miranda Marie Hulm was born. In January of 2002, a son, Cory Alan was born. Randy worked at the elevator in Wyndmere until 1995 when he went to work at Bobcat as a machinist. He continued to work at Bobcat until his death. Randy mostly worked the night shift, this enabled him to spend more time with his family during the day. Randy enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, basketball and was a very dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan. Randy was very handy, could repair anything and took a lot of pride in everything. A favorite family activity was to grill in the evening. He loved to grill and he loved to spend time with his family. Randy was a very dedicated, husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His memory will always be remembered and cherished. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wyndmere where he was a member of the parish council. Randy gave the greatest gift he could, he gave the gift of life. Randy was an organ donor. Upon his death, he was able to help heal and save many lives. Randy is a Hero! He is survived by, his wife, Melissa, Wyndmere, ND; two daughters: Nicole Amber, Fargo, ND, and Miranda Marie, Wyndmere, ND; a son, Cory Alan, Wyndmere, ND; his parents: Ray and Rose Hulm, Linton, ND; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rodney and Ksenia Hulm, Eagan, MN, Ryan and Jodi Hulm, Linton, ND and Rick and LeAnne Hulm, Linton, ND; sisters and brothers-in-law: Renae Ibach and fiance' Mike Anderson, Harrisburg, SD, Rhonda and Cletus Schmidt, Linton, ND and Rebecca and Bill Connor, Cleveland, MN; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Benedicta and Pius Scherr, Strasburg, ND; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Leroy and Ida Scherr, Strasburg, ND and Darlene and Paul Silvernagel, Lakeville, MN and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
