Regina Lauinger, 83, of Linton, ND, died March 25, 2010 at the Linton Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Monday, March 29, 2010 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Linton with the Rev. Gary Benz and Rev. Gerard Braun officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 9:00pm Sunday, March 28, 2010 with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Regina was born September 22, 1926 in Linton, ND. She was the oldest of seven children born to Joseph and Emma (Kahl) Fischer. She was raised on the family homestead west of Strasburg. Regina married Lorenz Roehrich in November of 1948 in Krassna. They ran the grocery store in Linton. Together they had four daughters: Mary Ann, Teresa, Emma and Elizabeth (Betty). After Lorenzs death, Regina married Leo Lauinger on June 27, 1962 at Strasburg. They farmed NE of Strasburg, until they retired, moving into Linton in 1994. They had three children, David, Leona and Paul. Regina loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member in St. Marys Society, holding the office of president, and a member of Strasburg VFW Auxiliary, where she was also president for 8 years. Regina was on the Strasburg School Board. She joined the Christian Mothers when she moved to Linton. Regina was also a charter member of Catholic Daughters of Linton. She was an active member in the Linton Senior Citizens and liked singing in the choir. Regina also enjoyed playing cards with her local card groups and also with friends and family. She is survived by seven children: Mary Ann (Landolin) Keller of Linton, ND, Teresa (Joachim) Volk of Hope, ND, Emma (Jeff) Wall of Bismarck, ND, Elizabeth (Tony) Volk of Hague, ND, David (Emily) Lauinger of Fargo, ND, Leona (Marvin) Huber of Strasburg, ND and Paul Lauinger of Bismarck, ND; 30 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one sister, Peggy (Ronnie) Pruett of Grand Forks, ND and one brother, Jerome (JoAnn) Fischer of Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Lorenz and Leo and 4 brothers: Eusebius, Adam, Lawrence and Harold.
