Robert "Bob" Jahner, 89, formerly of Linton, ND died August 29, 2025 in the Garrison Memorial Hospital, Garrison, ND.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton with Father Mark Aune officiating.  Interment will be held in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Robert "Bob" J. Jahner was born December 4, 1935 on a farm west of Hazelton, ND.  He was the oldest of 10 boys to Joseph and Bertha (Humann) Jahner.  He attended country school through the 7th grade.  The family moved into Hazelton and Bob worked for area farmers.  He then worked for various companies doing powerline work.  He married Hilda Gunsch on November 22, 1958 in Huron, SD.  They lived in several states until settling in Linton, ND.  He started JB Construction with his brothers in 1976.  They worked in several states in the Midwest.  They also had a branch of JB Construction in Knoxville, Iowa.  Bob was also involved with Sister's Restaurant in Linton with his daughter, Ricki and also had Dakota Sno-Blade with his brothers, Don and Melvin.  Bob had been a resident of the Garrison Memorial Hospital for the last few years.

He enjoyed old cars, motorcyles and had many dreams of creating new inventions.  Bob also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at work or play.

Bob is survived by his children, Jacqueline "Jackie" Jahner (Tim Lawler) of Fargo, ND, Mitch "Boomer" Calhoun of Dickinson; his step children, Carole Koester of Mandan, ND, Delphine Bauer of Big Lake, MN, Wayne (Nancy Oberlander) of Montrose, MN; his son-in-law, Todd Sathren; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; his brothers, Kenny (Evie) Jahner, Wayne Jahner, Wes (Judy) Jahner and Harvey (Nancy) Jahner as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hilda, his daughter, Ricki and five brothers, James, Larry, Melvin, LeRoy and Don.
