Robert F. Kiefer, 83, of Hague, ND, passed away March 5, 2026 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND with Fr. Shannon Lucht officiating.  Visitation will be held for 1 hour before the Mass at the church.  Inurnment will be held in the church cemetery.

Robert was born on January 17, 1943 to Frank and Eva (Johs) Kiefer.  He was born and raised on a farm northeast of Hague.  On September 21,1968 Robert married Violet Wagner and together they raised three children (two daughters and one son).  Robert farmed and operated a dairy for most of his life.  He continued until the end, to help with the daily operation even after his son took over the farm.

Robert enjoyed bowling league in his younger days along with farming.  In later years, he loved hunting gophers with his grandkids, mowing lawn, and driving the Ranger with his dog by his side.

Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Violet Kiefer; three children, Lee Ann (Steve) Davis, Kay (Mike) Schatz, and Jason Kiefer; five grandchildren, John Ferber, Andrew Ferber, Mark Ferber, Zachary Schatz and Grace Schatz; two sisters, Bertha Holzer and Shirley Kiefer; one brother, James (Virlene) Kiefer and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank X. and Eva Kiefer; siblings, Jerome (Jean) Kiefer, Victor Kiefer, Patricia (Charles Derio) Jurena; brother-in-law, John Holzer and nephew, Dennis Kiefer.
