Robert McCormick, 67, Hazelton, ND died October 12, 2025 in the Linton Regional Medical Center following a long extensive battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Sannes Feist Family Funeral Home, Linton.
Robert McCormick was born on January 17, 1958, to Robert and Elizabeth (Ferderer) McCormick. He was born and raised in Mandan ND and graduated from Mandan HS in 1976.
After high school Bob learned the trade of drywall, in which he was a true artist. He bartended at various bars and clubs. He worked at Eckroth Music in Bismarck, learning instrument repair. His dream was to be a Chef, which he did when he worked at the Brazilian Steak House in Linton ND. He also worked at the grocery store in Napoleon ND and as a cook at The White Maid in Napoleon. Throughout his life his passion was music. He was a singer and guitar player in multiple bands. The Breakaway band, The Heart River Band, Tumblin' Dice, Last Chance band, Joe Friday swing band and Dakota Rose band.
On September 21, 1991, Bob married Teresa Held and they moved to Hazelton, where he lived until his death.
He is survived by his sister, Mary (Bill) Goodman, Salome AZ; son Levi (Krista) McCormick, MN and granddaughter, Seraphina McCormick; Daughter, Elizabeth (Brandon) Davenport, Bismarck ND, and grandchildren: Aubree and Braxton Davenport; also by Teresa McCormick, their son Robert McCormick, Linton, ND and many family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents: Robert and Elizabeth McCormick, Rosella McCormick; his brother, Kim McCormick; his grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and cousins.
Following the service, Bob invites you to The Ugly in Hazelton to celebrate his life and passion for music, jokes, stories and fellowship.
