Roger Jacob Krumm, 70, Strasburg, ND, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND.
Burial will be held at 2:00 pm at the North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, also on Tuesday.
A Prayer Service will be at 7:00 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, ND.
Roger was born on December 31, 1947 to Jacob and Lillian (Kraft) Krumm in Linton, North Dakota. He grew up in Strasburg and graduated from St. Benedicts High School in 1965. He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970.
Roger remained living in the community of Strasburg all his life. He worked for Emmons County as the tax assessor and as deputy sheriff for many years. One of his most valued roles he had in both his work and social life included being an active member, and one time President, of The Dakota Territory Gun Collector's Association. Other passions he had included: hunting, music, history, driving on the open road, and meeting new people/making new friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Krumm. He is survived by his loving mother, Lillian Selzler; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bonnie Vetsch and Bernie (Steve) Johnson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Bridgette (Mike) Gullickson and Erika McCormick; and three grandchildren, one granddaughter-in-law, Dylan (McKenzie) Jangula, Hannah Jangula, and Megan Jangula. Additionally, he has three wonderful nieces and one nephew who survived him.
Family and friends will always miss him, but he remains in our hearts and prayers forever.
Flowers may be donated to the St. Peter and Paul Church or the Veterans Cemetery.
