Roland Dornbush, 70, of Westfield, ND, died January 15, 2024 at the Strasburg Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Hope Reform Church, Westfield, ND. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024 at Sannes Feist Funeral Home, Linton, ND

Roland Dale Dornbush was born May 6, 1953 to Cornie and Elizabeth (Te Beest) Dornbush at the Linton Hospital. He attended Bakker Elementary School at Westfield and graduated from Strasburg High School in 1971. He then attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND, receiving a degree as a business machine repairman. He then moved to Scottsbluff, NE where he worked on typewriters, copiers, and dictaphones, etc. In the early 80's, Roland returned to the farm with his dad. After bravely battling cancer for more than nine years, Roland entered the Strasburg Care Center in June of 2023.

Roland was a lifetime member of the Second Brigade MC ND (motorcycle club) and RCM (Regional Chapter Member). He enjoyed going on motorcycle trips and bike runs, collecting and restoring old tractors, participating in antique tractor pulls, playing pinochle, attending rodeos and shooting pool. Roland won numerous trophies in the antique tractor pulls. He also served as stage security for a Van Halen concert at Rockin' the Hills in Bottineau, ND.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Cornie and Elizabeth Dornbush; brothers, Harlen and Kenny; sisters, Mildred Hollaar and Charolotte Huizenga; nephew, Curt Hollaar and great-nephew, Chad Ochsner.

He is survived by his sisters, Delores Kuipers, Platte, SD, Jan Dornbush, Waite Park, MN and Cheryl Dornbush, Rapid City, SD; his brother, Verl Dornbush, Strasburg; 20 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; 51 great-great nieces and nephews; and two great-great-great nephews.

His family and friends remember Roland as a humble, helpful, friendly man, who loved pranks, jokes and having fun.
