Ronald "Ron" Kramer, 75, of Strasburg, ND, died March 18, 2026, at the Linton Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 10:30 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with a Rosary/Vigil service at 7:00 pm at Sannes Feist Funeral Home, Linton.

Ron was born June 14, 1950, to Peter and Alice (Rohrich) Kramer. He was the eldest of ten children. Ron grew up in the St. Michael's area, attended country school through the eighth grade, and continued his education at Linton High School. Following high school, he worked for local farmers.

On October 23, 1971, Ron married Carol Lipp at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Strasburg, North Dakota. He worked for a number of years as a milk truck driver at the Strasburg Cheese Plant. In the late 1970s, Ron and Carol purchased the Lipp family farm, where they operated the farm their entire lives. Ron then continued his working years in Strasburg, first at the Picture Frame Factory and later at the RDO Potato Seed Farm west of Linton, where he worked for 23 years. After a cancer diagnosis in May 2016, Ron retired in December 2016. He was an avid community supporter and a former member of the Strasburg Lions Club.

Some of Ron's early hobbies included snowmobiling, hunting, trapping, and ice fishing. Ron enjoyed visiting with family and friends, as well as driving the countryside and checking the fields. He enjoyed working on cars, restoring older John Deere tractors with Mitch, and was always willing to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand. After retirement, Ron, Carol, and Mitch took great pleasure in tending their large garden together. One of his favorite "toys" was his JD skid steer loader, which he used for clearing old trees, moving snow, and general yard work. He also kept busy planting trees to improve his farmyard. Ron had several dogs throughout his life, all of which held a special place in his heart.

Ron battled various cancers for nearly ten years. In his final days, he chose to remain in his living room, where he could watch the pheasants and deer through the window and see his companion, Pubby, peering in from the deck.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of 54 years; his son, Mitch; his mother, Alice Kramer; five brothers, Gary (Ana), Donnie, John (Liz), Joe (Rose), and Larry (Jen); three sisters, Diane (Steve) Nodsle, Marie (Scott) Deutsch, and Linda (Brian) Meier; sister-in-law Mary Kramer; brother-in-law Herb Soule; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Kramer; his brother, Jim Kramer; brothers-in-law Robert (Dolores) Lipp, Harold Lipp, and David Lipp; and sisters-in-law Dorothy (Leo) Feist, Dolores Soule, and Rachel (Tony) Wald.
