Rose Magdalena Glas, 92, went home to our dear lord on, February 5, 2020, at the Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, ND.
Rose was born October 28, 1927, east of Strasburg to Sebastian and Mary (Volk) Voller. She attended rural Exeter school #1 through 8 th Grade. She met Tony Glas in Strasburg and they were married on February 7, 1945. They made their home on a farm west of Strasburg.
Rose moved to Linton in 1979 where she began working as Custodian at the Linton Public School. She worked there until retiring in 1993. Rose took adult classes and proudly received her GED Diploma in 1979.
Rose had many hobbies and passions. She was a Lifetime member of the Women's Auxiliary Club for many years, the Red Hats Society, she was on a dart league for many years, gardening, sewing, cooking, reading, quilting, she enjoyed traveling and was very thankful that she was able to make a trip to Europe. She spoke about this for many years. She was very proud of getting her driver's license when she was 48 years old. She also enjoyed researching ancestry and genealogy, but most of all Rose loved spending time with her friends and family.
Rose will be deeply missed by her sons, Arlo (Rosie), Strasburg, Dennis (Diane), Wishek, William "Bill" (Donna), Linton; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Bachmeier, Bismarck; sister-in-law Pat Voller, Arkansas and Victoria Voller, Strasburg; grandchildren, Joe, Tony, Barbie, Jennie, Denielle, Carrolyn, Mark, Elizabeth, Misty and Matthew; 25 great grandchildren and special friend Char Fraise
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mike, Harry, and Steve; sisters, Hilda (Elmer) Mattern, Theresa (Mike) Wolf; sister-in-law Edith Voller; brother-in-law Leo Bachmeier and Elmer Mattern; infant sister Marie; son Terrance; grandson Denver; and infant grandson.
