Rose Nagel Volk, 97, of Strasburg, ND, died August 27, 2023 at the Strasburg Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg with Fr. Shannon Lucht officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the church in Strasburg.  There will be a vigil service at 7pm.

Rose Silvernagel was born December 21, 1925 at Strasburg, ND to George Peter and Magdalena (Scherr) Silvernagel. Rose attended St. Ben's Grade School and High School, graduating in 1943. Years later she graduated from Mary College in Bismarck with a B.S. Degree in Education and a Reading Specialist's Degree.

Rose married Frank Nagel on September 27, 1948. The family farm is eight miles west of Strasburg. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Society. She enjoyed years of teaching, farming, gardening and loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Rose was grateful to have shared her life with children, Ron (Vicky), Gary (Kathy), James (Sandy) and Sheila (Mark); 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Arlouine and one brother, Kenneth.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; siblings, AnnaMary, Leo, Alex, Felix, Eileen, Wylis and Mavis.
