Rosemary Kocher, 97, of Hague ND was called to be with God and her loved ones who had gone before her on December 23, 2022. She was born to Leonard and Theresa (Reinbold) Scherr on November 29, 1925, the oldest of nine children. Rosemary spent her childhood on a farm in the Strasburg area, enjoying growing up with her fun, loving family.

On October 18, 1943, Rosemary married Peter Kocher at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Strasburg. They farmed on the east edge of Hague until 1991, when they moved to a new home in Hague.

Rosemary was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, serving on the Altar Society. She also participated in Hague Senior Citizens, Homemaker Club, Square Dancing Club and as a 4-H leader. Rosemary cooked for the hot lunch program at the Hague School and worked at the Strasburg Care Center for 23 years. She made many lifelong friends through her volunteering and work. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a strong faith and love for Jesus.

Rosemary was a hard working partner on the farm as well. She was an incredible homemaker and cook. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, ceramics, embroidery, and playing cards. Rosemary and Peter also found time to extensively travel the country.

Over the years, Rosemary hosted many family events. Family was the most important thing to her. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and special, was always happy to see everyone, and was always interested in everyone she met.

Rosemary is survived by her children, Harold (Donna) Kocher, Gloria (Chuck) Olmsted, LeAnn (Richard) Holzer, Joyce (Gerry) Krebs, and Kevin (Theresa) Kocher; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Sebastian (Marian) Scherr, sisters Barbara Hoerner, Lorraine Uhrich and Violet (Gene) Horn, sisters-in-law Marcie Scherr, Jeanette Scherr and Agnes Hatzenbeller, and brother-in-law Leo (Donna) Kocher.

Rosemary was a very giving, beautiful woman. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
