Ruth Rutschke, 88, Strasburg, died August 3, 2013 at the Strasburg Care Center. Ruth Bauer was born August 27, 1924 on a farm near Hague and attended Country School. She married Jacob Rutschke on January 20, 1947 in Linton. After marriage they lived on a farm northwest of Artas, SD. Ruth moved into the Strasburg Care Center in 2005. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with family and friends and crocheting. Ruth is survived by her brother, Arlo (Mary Lee) Bauer, Germantown, WI; brother-in-law, Melvin & Alciena Rutschke, Zeeland; sister-in-law, Ruth Reimer, Herried, SD and several nieces and nephews.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jacob; brother, Ervin and sister, Erma.
