She attended Christy's Beauty School in Bismarck, ND and graduated in 1959. Sharon married Wilbert Moser on June 19, 1959 at the Herreid Baptist Church. She opened a beauty shop in the basement of their home called "The Beauty Nook" while Wilbert opened a gas and service station next door called Wilbert's Service. Sharon and Wilbert were never far from each other's side and enjoyed playing golf and were members of the Linton Country Club. Sharon and Wilbert were able to enjoy 25 years of being snowbirds to South Padre Island, TX where they spent their time golfing every day, surf fishing, eating shrimp, and entertaining friends who became like a second family to them.
