Teresa R. Volk, 60, Hope, ND, died Saturday, January 8, 2010 in a Fargo Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, ND. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before service time at the church on Wednesday. Teresa R. Volk was born on June 11, 1950 in Linton, ND, the daughter of Lorenz and Regina (Fischer) Roehrich. She was raised and educated in Linton and Strasburg, ND. Teresa graduated from Emmons Central High School in 1968. She married Joachim "Jim" Volk on November 12, 1968 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Teresa attended nurses training in Wahpeton and East Grand Forks, graduating with an LPN degree. Teresa and Jim lived in Hague where they farmed until 1988. They then moved to Cando, ND until 1994 when they moved to Hope, ND. Teresa worked as a nurse at the Griggs County Medical Center/Nursing Home in Cooperstown, ND. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, baking, playing cards, arts and crafts, reading and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jim Volk of Hope, ND: her children, Audrey and Dean Wald of Bismarck, ND, Blaine and Karla Volk of Devils Lake, ND, Chad and Tammy Volk of Devils Lake, ND, Dawn and Brad Reamer of Hope, ND, Eric and Kathy Volk of Fargo, ND and Floyd and Jade Volk of Carrington, ND; eight grandchildren: Kayla and Amber Wald, Evan Volk, Aaron, Cody and Dylan Reamer, Mia Volk, Ella Volk and twins on the way; two brothers and one sister-in-law: David and Emily Lauinger of Fargo, ND and Paul Lauinger of Bismarck, ND; and four sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Ann and Landolin Keller of Linton, ND, Emma and Jeff Wall of Bismarck, ND, Elizabeth and Tony Volk of Hague, ND and Leona and Marvin Huber of Strasburg, ND.as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
