December 14, 1944 ~ January 7, 2010

Terrance Terry Scherr, 65, of Linton, ND, died January 7, 2010 at a Bismarck Hospital surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Monday, January 11, 2010 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, Linton with the Reverend Gary Benz and Msgr. Val Gross officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 9:00am to 9:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Terry was born December 14, 1944 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Chris and Mary (Krumm) Scherr. He was raised and educated in Linton and graduated from St. Anthonys in Linton. Terry attended Bismarck Junior College where he received an accounting/business degree, He also attended some schooling in Minneapolis, MN. Terry married Lucille Lucy Gross on July 6, 1966. They built their family farm west of Linton. Together they had six children: Kelly, Troy, Shelly, Terry Jay, Kristy, and Tiffany. Terry was a great husband, father and grandfather who was loved dearly. Terry enjoyed visiting with his family and friends, farming, playing cards, watching movies and making jokes. Terry died January 7, 2010 at St. Alexius Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Scherr of Linton, ND; three sons and daughters-in-law: Kelly and Val Scherr of Linton, ND, Troy and Shari Scherr of Linton, ND and Terry Jay and Nicole Scherr of Mandan, ND; three daughter and sons-in-law: Shelly and Greg Volk of Linton, ND, Kristy and Mike Ryckman of Linton, ND and Tiffany Scherr and special friend Jeremy Kuntz of Linton, ND; nine grandchildren: Chris, Miranda and Hannah Scherr, Tate and Teegan Scherr, Justin, Brandon and Stacia Wagner and Makiah Ryckman; and three nephews: Don, Allen and Darryl Nagel. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Max Nagel and nephews: Marvin and Jerome Nagel.
