Terrence "Terry" Glas, 65, of Linton, ND, died August 20, 2011 at the Linton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 26, 2011 at Myers Funeral Home, Linton with Fr. Paul Eberle officiating. Burial will be in the Dale Cemetery, Pollock, SD. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton. Terry was born on June 12, 1946 in Linton, ND, the son of Anton and Rose (Voller) Glas. He attended country school and then finished school in Strasburg. He worked in construction and custom harvesting. He later received degrees in business and law enforcement. He entered the US Army in March of 1966 until March 9, 1968. Following his discharge, he worked as an undercover cop in the Bismarck/Mandan area. While in Washington, he had a snow removal and landscape business. He held other jobs throughout his life, he worked as a coast to coast truck driver. Terry moved back to Linton in 1996 where he did remodeling jobs and served on the Linton City Council and on the Airport Authority. He is a past member of the American Legion and VFW. Terry enjoyed traveling, especially to Egypt, art work, writing, fast cars and reading. He also did a lot of genealogy and worked on printing presses at Braddock Threshing Bee. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Joseph and Sarah Glas Pahl of Blacksburg, VA; his mother, Rose Glas of Linton, ND; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Arlo and Rosie Glas of Strasburg, ND, Dennis and Diane Glas of Wishek, ND, and William "Bill" and Donna Glas of Kalispell, MT; and a very special friend, Charlotte Fraise of Linton, ND and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Anton.
