Obituary

Theresa (Grosz) Dietz, 87, Bismarck, formerly of Linton, ND, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at Good Samaritan Society in Bismarck, ND, surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND. with Rev. David Richter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.Theresa was born May 25, 1926, in Hague, ND, the daughter of Joe and Christina (Kessler) Grosz. Theresa married Mike Dietz on June 3, 1947 at St. Bernard's Country church southwest of Linton. They made their home on the farm southwest of Linton for 40 years. They lived in Linton for 23 years before moving to Bismarck. Theresa enjoyed cooking and baking old fashioned german dishes, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with family and grandkids. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking and wonderful smile.Theresa is survived by her husband, Mike, Bismarck, her children, Marie Hanson, Bismarck, Diane (Oscar) Johnson, Fargo, Carlotta (Rick) Fuentes, Phoenix, Ron (Marietta) Dietz, Linton, Don (Tammy) Dietz, Lamberton, MN, Scott Dietz and friend Amy Moser, Bismarck, Greg (Ellen) Dietz, Bismarck, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, nine sisters and four brothers, Al and Betty Grosz, MN, Elizabeth Gorsline-Chesky, Selby, SD, Maggie Weinzirl, Selby, Gladys Dyson, Mobridge, Mary and Bill Ford, Selby, Josie Holder, Selby, Jenny and Cletus Hahne, Aberdeen, Eva Ophein, CO, Cecelia Engelhaupt, MN, Diane Volk, Bismarck, Alma (Leo) Grosz, Fargo, Agnes (Benny) Grosz, MN, and Nancy (Frank) Grosz, FL.Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, 2 infant children, her brothers, Leo, Frank and Benn, brothers-in-law, Charles Gorsline, Cam Chesky, Charles Weinzirl, Don Dyson, Don Ophein, Franklin Holder, Bernard Engelhaupt, Daniel Volk.
