Theresa Hager, 89, of Braddock, ND, died August 16, 2011 at a Bismarck Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30am, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Katherine's Catholic Church, Braddock, ND with Fr. David Richter and Deacon Ken Wolbaum officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Linton and from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the church in Braddock with a prayer services at 7:00pm. Theresa was born on September 25, 1921 on a farm southwest of Linton, the daughter of Mike and Mary (Wikenheiser) Bichler. She attended country school and graduated from Strasburg High School. She attended college at Ellendale Teachers College. Theresa taught country school southwest of Linton. Theresa married Pius Hager Sr. on June 7, 1943 in Strasburg, ND. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed west of Linton before moving to a farm north of Braddock. They lived and farmed near Braddock until moving into Braddock in 1981. They have since resided in Braddock. Theresa was a cook at the school. She was a member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, knitting, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Pius Sr. of Braddock, ND; seven sons and daughters-in-law: Pius Jr. and Antoinette Hager of Braddock, ND, Terry and Geraldine Hager of Omaha, NE, Richard Hager of Denver, CO, Donnie and Diane Hager of Braddock, ND, Ken and Debbie Hager of Littleton, CO, Ronnie Hager of Littleton, CO and Garry and Kristi Hager of Conifer, CO; twenty four grandchildren; thirty five great-grandchildren and one great great grand-daughter; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe and Ann Bichler of Bismarck, ND, Alex and Katherine Bichler of Linton, ND and Leo and Alice Bichler of Linton, ND; eight sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret Ternes of Bismarck, ND, Anna Mary Mosset of Bismarck, ND, Angeline and Leo Miller of Spokane, WA, Bernice and Eddie Jahner of Appleton, WI, Sally and Tony Bernhardt of Linton, ND, Beverly and Alex Noel of Linton, ND, Agnes and Max Mosset of Linton, ND and Lorraine and Herman Mosset of Linton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Corey Hager and two sisters: Victoria Jahner and Phyllis Kuhn.
