Tillie Ryckman, 79 of Westfield, ND, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away Monday February 12, 2018 at Sanford Health Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock, SD.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be at Westfield Cemetery.

Tillie was born on December 30, 1938 to Edward and Pauline (Looyenga) Van Vugt in Westfield, ND. Tillie graduated in 1958 from Strasburg High School, Strasburg, ND. She worked various jobs growing up and after high school.

Tillie married Gordon Ryckman in Westfield on March 11, 1960. The couple first settled on Gordon's family farm north of Pollock, SD before moving into Pollock where to them 5 children were born. In 1979 they moved back out to the family farm. She spent her days helping in all aspects of the farm, always caring for a large garden, canning, baking and cooking family favorites. Tillie was active in the Pollock Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Farm Bureau, Cub Scouts den mother and Gideon Auxiliary. In 2005 they moved from the farm to Westfield where Gordon lovingly remodeled Tillie's parents home.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gordon, Pollock; her children, Robert, Pollock, Darcy (Charles) Martinez, Pueblo, CO, Scott (Lola) Mankato, MN, Greg (Teresa) Tampa, FL and Larissa, Westfield; her grandchildren, Mason, Kelsey, Megan, Ian, Matthew, Marcus, Taylor, Renee, Savannah, April, Mac and Shania; 1 great-granddaughter, June; her brothers, Gerrit (Anita) Van Vugt, Mobridge, SD, and LeRoy (Velma) Van Vugt, Omaha, NE; her sisters, Linda (Jerome) Pool, Westfield and Marge Van Vugt, Mobridge, SD; brothers-in-law, Donald Powers, Ames, IA, Dale Vander Vorst, Akaska, SD, and  Valmen (Deb) Ryckman, Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Lynda (Rod) Grenz, Hazelton, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bobby Van Vugt, sister Polly Vander Vorst, infant nephew, Matthew Van Vugt, sister-in-law Marlene Powers and infant sister-in-law, Velma Jane Ryckman.

Her positive outlook on life and bright smile will be missed by all.
