Victor Meier, 73, of Venturia, ND, died March 3, 2026, at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck, ND.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Zeeland, ND with Fr. Wenceslaus Katanga officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the church in Zeeland. There will be a vigil/prayer service held at 7pm at the church.

Victor was born January 22, 1953, in Linton, ND to Bernhard (Ben) and Magdalena (Krumm) Meier. Victor attended school in Zeeland graduating from Zeeland High School in 1971. Following his schooling he started faming with his father and worked on a custom combing crew for several years. Victor took over the family farm in 1974. He married Arlene Buechler on June 21, 1975, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, ND. Following their marriage, they resided on the Meier family farm, where they farmed, ranched and milked cows. In 1992 Victor, his brother Frank started operating Zeeland Oil.

Victor enjoyed playing pinochle, darts, volleyball and softball. He loved everything about baseball, especially his New York Yankees. Coaching the town's pewee baseball, T-ball, softball teams or even just playing catch. The peace of checking his cows, particularly his newborn calves. Checking his crops, or just crops in general to see how everyone's were doing. Really any excuse to be outside when it was nice out, like tending to his lawn and garden. Collecting model toy tractors, International Harvester in particular. Morning coffee with his Zeeland Oil crew, where talking current events, the stock market, and debating politics were mandatory. Singing in the church choir, just singing in general. He always was humming or singing some sort of tune. He was very active and involved in the Catholic Church and most of the activities around Zeeland. He took a lot of pride in his Faith, Family, and Community.

Victor is survived by his wife, Arlene Meier; children, Nicole Meier (Jay Volzke), Kristen (Josh) Rux, Stephanie Meier (Scott Fliginger), Dr. Clarissa (Josh) Volk, Benjamin (Sarah) Meier, Lucas (Madison) Meier; grandchildren-His Pride and Joy, Carson, Cambree, Liam, Isaac, Myrah, Jackson, Nohla, Lathan, Roman, Abram, Byron, and Parker; siblings, Leonhard, Jim, Sr. Doretta, Jerome, Frank, Mary, Barb and Gerald.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Magdalena; siblings, Benny, Sophie, Dick and Ray.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
